We began podcasting because we felt there was a white space in the market for business-focused podcasts. We saw an opportunity to use this medium to amplify thought leadership and industry expertise, strengthen brand narratives, train employees, and facilitate authentic conversations that would impact diversity initiatives. With these concepts in mind, we have created a framework that can nurture and develop new podcasts quickly and effectively across multiple industries.

Phase I

  • Setting up a space to record either in-person or remotely

  • Tools and hardware needed record at a high-quality level (microphones, mixers, headphones, monitors), based on budget

  • Setting up software needs for recording, editing and transcribing podcast

  • Setting up podcast hosting, RSS feeds and analytics

Phase II

  • Creating podcast structure: script, narrative arc, episode lengths, etc.

  • Creating calendar: seasonal themes, episode timing, etc.

  • Developing episode titles, subtitles and summaries

  • Creating visual assets including Cover Art and Episode Art

  • Creating Social Media Assets (ie. Quotes, Audiograms, Announcements)

  • Determining advertising plans, including planned insertion points

  • Creating uniquely branded Intro / Outro / Transitions for podcast, including original music and VoiceOver work

Phase III

  • Setting up guest interviews and managing interviews (emails, legal concerns, remote set-up)

  • Planning developing questions, script, approach for each episode

  • Recording interview remotely or in-studio (online multi-track recording, live mixing, etc.)

  • Saving sound files and developing first EQ mix with intro, outro and transitions

  • Episode editing and transcription

  • Final episode mix and file exports

  • Posting episodes to host / RSS feed

Phase IV

  • Weekly and Monthly Analytics reports: downloads, listeners and impressions

  • Dynamic Ad Inserts / Direct Advertising (host-sponsored) with our partner AdvertiseCast and Megaphone

  • Podcast sponsorships

  • Guest follow-up (emails, episode amplification)

  • Donations / Patreon

  • Episode support: marketing, social media, player embeds

  • Curated or Customized Feeds
